There are no bad answers here. My own question prompted me to do some research and I found that, according to the Guiness Book, Mariah Carey has the greatest vocal range of all. One person I would like to see added to your list is Ann Wilson - I think she also has a phenomenal range and the ability to sing in any genre.

So many, but Amy Lee has an amazing voice. I'm not sure, I don't listen to very many females.
