That happened to me. I went to the doctor because i thought it was my appendix. They said no, your appendix is on your right!

They said that i may have an Ovarian Cyst. It is a small cyst on your ovary that can cause some pain. It is like a pimple. It will not cause cancer unless you had a tumor which i doubt because you would probably not ve able to sit up. The cyst will go away when you get your period, but can be very painful. Turned out i did have one, but it is not that bad but it is good to know and watch if you get any more!

Yours doesn't sound like one, but if the pain moves down then i would see a doctor. If it gets really bad, then go right away. Good luck! -Audrina

Yes especially if it's accompanied by swelling, fever. loss of appitite. If you have a high fever then I suggest the ER which is a good place to go for unknown pains.

If you get them frequently and doctors have done MRI's, xrays and such and found no problem suggest they do an ultra sound. My sister had constant pains all the time and when she was pregnant and ended up in the ER she couldn't get the xrays done because of the baby so they did an ultrasound and found out it was gallstones.

I wouldn't worry, but I would still be responsible and seek medical care if it doesn't go away. It could simply be gas, or it could be something else (ie. ovarian cyst, etc....not a doctor, so I don't know).
