The chicken's head was already pulled off. It was running around aimlessly. It just *happened* to cross the road.

Because of the mass-breeding practices of poultry farmers, the chicken had a degenerative brain disease that caused it to walk onto the road. I don't think it made it all the way across.

The chicken was thinking about sucicide since he was on crack so he wanted to die by getting ran over, not brudally killed for Mickey D's chicken nuggets.
