If George Bush can say "the Constitution is just an old piece of paper"
then I can say -
Isolationism is just a label for hypocrites to use against the people who do not feel the Constitution is just a old piece of paper!
And for the guy above who claims that if Ron Paul is elected and tries to do all the things he hopes to make better he will be killed like JFK -
If the man if willing to put his life on the line to fix America and he is assassinated - that will be just what our Nation needs to prove that we are being run by corruption and an unknown source! There is a reason the Constitution protects gun owners!
Because one day soon we who still love this country may have to force action and change with civil war!
No one is taking our guns so they can have free reign over the citizens with fear and intimidation!
Perhaps someone should do a better job of investigating 9/11 instead of settling for a commission that was selected by Bush and his black ops (without Bush and Cheney testifying under oath I might add)!

No, because he can't do any of that. I don't care if he calls himself libertarian, he's a lot more liberal than anything; his policies would sure make things a lot nicer for a little while, but not too far down the road they'd get even worse again. The Middle East would become chaos with his plans for that area. He can't get rid of the lobbyists or corruption, as it's almost the very heart of what it means to be a politician these days. He can't "fix" national security by constantly deferring to the United Nations, even if he did seal off the borders; there are greater threats out there than Mexico. The government fixing the healthcare system would, as I said, send things down the toilet in a few years, and would only expand the government further. I thought libertarians held up the idea of supporting oneself rather than letting the government do it for him; instead, I'm seeing a person with no affiliation whatsoever, and who will say anything to gain the support of people of all stripes.

individuals do not care with regards to the forex. this is obtrusive. what proportion circumstances do individuals might desire to fall for lies, and placed their hand interior the hearth formerly they finally learn a lesson? I remember whilst i grow to be 7 I burned myself. purely as quickly as grow to be all it took, now i don't mess with hearth ever. If an prolonged time of spending, foreign places wars, government expansions, printing, borrowing, extra foreign places wars, extra spending isn't adequate for individuals to finally say adequate is adequate then not something is. the only way u.s. is going to finally learn we will not save this up is whilst the greenback collapses and we are left and not using a liberty interior the worldwide.

I think the guy is a good candidate but the media does such a good job of squashing anyone worthwhile its likely not going to happen. The Media is hand in hand with corporations and AIPAC.

Yes. Yes. Yes. and Yes. But he's going to need some people in Congress to sustain his vetoes. He not only needs votes, he needs people running with him.
Maybe they should as independents or Libertarians.

No, Not after hearing him in the debate. Gingrich would be a better choice. It was Gingrich and Kasich that balanced the budget in 1994. Gingrich is a get it done type of person.

I would vote for him for all those reasons. I think he could revitalize the Republican party like Gingrich did in 94.

Weird question.
The correct question is, can Ron Paul even do what you're talking about?
By the way, isolationism isn't the answer to anything.

I would but I am skeptical that he is a wolf in sheeps clothing. To even suggest the things he wants to do will get him killed by the government, just like JFK. If he is the real deal he had better be living in one of the governments bomb shelters, and run the government from there!
