i have to perform a monologue in front of all these agents. i really want my monologue to come off as realistic and funny, and to just stand out. any suggestions?
here's my monologue:

Award for Tardiness “Clueless” (male or female):
Alex: This is so unexpected, I, uh, I didn't even have a speech prepared. Uh, but I would like to say this: Tardiness is not something you can do all on your own. Many, many people contributed to my tardiness. Uh, I'd like to thank my parents for never giving me a ride to school, the L.A. city bus driver for taking a chance on an unknown kid, and, uh, last but not least, the wonderful crew at McDonalds for spending hours making those egg McMuffins, without which I might never be tardy.

Alex is a lovable slacker so dress the part and play it to the hilt! Have fun and end it with your own personal signature move (ie arms raised with two peace signs or high five some friends, whatever). Good luck!

Dress: This is a monolauge, not a scene I'm guessing right? Look classy, not dressed up or down. You want them to notice how well you deliver this, not how well you can choose a costume.

Know your character and why they're saying this. When they're humerous, etc. Say it in lots of different moods, wayys, etc. Find what works and what doesn't. Notice where you put pauses. Are they because you're character is hinking about what to say? Or are they unsure? Put in the effort and it will show.

I don't mean to sound preachy or anything, just speaking from experience here. ;) Good luck!

hmmmmmm..... once you're saying "i understand precisely who you're. you're Kenny Fisher...we used to...we used to play Miami Vice in my basement. You used to sleepover my domicile...you had to go away the hall mild on each and every nighttime. you're Kenny Fisher who used to purchase me a card each and every Valentine's Day and a bag of those little hearts with the words on them." have a grin on your face like your remembering the solid circumstances. and then the final area, have a shadow of anger throughout the time of your face. to not plenty, yet barely adequate so they understand the way you experience.
