If you have never had a yeast infection before, you have to go and see a doctor. There are a number of vaginal infections that it could be, so if this is your first infection go see the doctor. If you have had a diagnosed(by a Dr) yeast infection and you are sure this is one again, you will be just really uncomfortable, itchy, labia will be tender to touch, painful and have a lot of discharge. Having an untreated yeast infection will not kill you. I don't know how old you are but if you are sexually active and you are not using a condom(which you should be every time!!) your partner could have a yeast infection without having any pain. Therefore, you could be passing it back and for to one another.

If you dont treat it, it will usually clear up when you start your period as menstrual blood raises the ph levels in your vagina and the bacteria cant surive the higher ph level.

It can make things very uncomfortable for you such as when you are trying to sit down.

I would also recommend asking your dr about this to see what they say.
