Yes, I was about 4 years old and my baby sister got car sick again and at that time, fish were shipped from the hatchery to the rivers lakes and streams threw the use of a fish trough.
While mom and Grandma were holding her over the trough, I climbed up to the mountain top, down below, I saw a man laying face down and a motorcycle near by and the man was not moving.
Mom and Grandma came up after me and all for of us went racing down the mountain screaming.
The radio announcers kept reporting a man missing for days, begged them to call the police cause we knew where he was, and they would not.
I have kept that memory for over 40 years now, I wish I was old enough to know how to use the phone at that time, but I didn't and could not call the radio station or police dept and put and end to that poor family's suffering.
Since then, I have seen more than I wish too.

Yes, I've seen many. A friend of mine used to live and work in a funeral home. It was weird at first, but in time got used to it.
I have never come upon a dead body. That would be a totally different situation. I've only seen one person not embalmed and that was my brother in law that we unhooked from machines. He looked terrible.
Some people I know don't believe in funerals. They want to remember the person alive. I'm sure there are a lot of people that have chosen not to see a dead body.

Yes, besides going to the funerals of my two grandmothers, I've seen police getting a corpse out of the shore while, I was passing by on the highway, and I also saw a dead body in front of a supermarket, I think he had gotten shot, there was something plastic over most of his body but the legs were exposed, he was surrounded by that yellow police line, within the block off area there were policeman and who I presume was a detective. .......I live in a city with a high crime rate.

Having nursed for some years I have, unfortunately, seen dead bodies and sat with people as they died.
I'd be interested what job you do, as to why you need to be sensitive because of people seeing dead bodies.? Not that being sensitive is a bad thing, I am just curious.??

I've seen a number of dead bodies. I'm always surprised by people who get all freaked out. That only happened to me once - I was working in a home and a patient died and I was cleaning him up for transportation. It was really still and quiet and all of sudden he had that "death moan" a sound I will never forget. Creepy!

I have and it amazes me how bodies at an accident look smaller and less human somehow. It's also appalling what people will do to other people and the condition some are left in. I imagine most people have identified someone at a morgue or witnessed a loved one's funeral, and let's pray that that is all they will ever see.

Im a paramedic and I see dead bodies on a regular basis..Im at it 4 years now and everyone is different. I must admit I still get a little shook from time to time espeically if they are young babeis kids teens etc...elderly people kinda look at peace but usually circumstances surrounding young people are tragic and normally have alot of bereaved people watching you do your thing...anyways theres nothing to be afraid of its the ones that are alive you have to watch out for..

Yes ,quite a few times .I don't find it as upsetting as I thought I would because I know that is only the empty shell people have left behind . They are continuing on with the next stage of existence

Yes, I work in an Old Peoples Home. It always makes me think about how you should make the best of your life and live it to the full.

I sat on a dead persons lap once ...
Not that i remember it though. I was 3 when my primary carer died. It was just me and her. They found me on her lap. They didn't know she had a heart condition.
I have always been a very sensitive person and still am. Death and dying has never been a tabboo to me. Violent death is a different story though ...
