Can only base this answer on what's happend lately. The Preds were very good and gave the Red Wings fits this year. Overall however, the experience the Wings had overcame the Preds and that affected how they played in the playoffs too.
Now that Nashville has had some experience with the "big guys" they should be better next year. That is if they keep their key players. A Detroit radio anaylst said he'd like to see Hartnell in a Wings uniform next year. Look OuT!

It all depends on how you look at the two teams. The Red Wings have the tradition of being one of the Original Six NHL teams and ofcourse winning the Cup. The Preds have a great opportunity on their side and youth which a lot of NHL fans like. You both are correct in enjoying your favorite teams and enjoying the game of hockey!

The Red Wings have the tradition, and they have the Cups. If Nashville wins within the next couple of years, that'd be extraordinary for a team that's under 10 years old, but until then the Wings win out.
