If they ever needed children they would put out a casting call on Breakdown Services, Talent Agents would see it, decide which of their clients are right for it, send their headshots to the casting director and set up an audition if the casting director thinks the photo looks like what they were thinking of for the role. You may be able to catch a glimpse of one of these casting calls if you check actorsaccess.com, but you would have to check very faithfully since casting calls are added constantly.

Lost is a great show. The season finale last night was CRAZYYYYYY.
I don't think there is much new casting for the show especially because they're on an island and the characters are already established.
The show shoots in Hawaii - so having a child actor on set would cause all sorts of SAG trouble. I think the writers would avoid it at all costs.
