A really 'fun' one I remember is "We're not gonna take it!" done by a pretty wild group called Twisted Sister back in the 80s. Its about rebellion and revenge against authority. The lyrics are clean and would be appropriate for a school project. Rock is all about rebellion and revenge and there are so many, many good songs. Actually, any song from the 80s "hair bands" would be a good one---Pantera, Aerosmith, Guns N Roses... Those were the days when rock music used to kick butt. Now its all lame.

Aerosmith's "Jaime's Got a Gun" is a classic. Its about a girl who's was being abused by her father until she couldn't take it anymore so she got a gun and blew his brains out then ran away----

"...Run away, run way, from the pain. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah...." ---Does anyone else remember that one? Awesome song! BUT, I don't believe that a song about guns and shooting would fly in a school project nowadays so please don't choose that one.

Denim Demon by Turbonegro! The BEST teenage revenge song ever. The Irish band, Therapy, also does an excellent cover.

Do a Google search on "Denim Demon lyrics." Then, go out and buy their albums! They're the last great hope for rock and roll.

Seriously, give a listen to "Prayer to God" by Shellac.
You probably can't use it in school (or you can beep out the F-word, it would still make its point), but it's a really good example---maybe the best I've heard, of a revenge song. & I don't even really like Shellac

Well, I don't know if this is appropriate for music class but, "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" by My Chemical Romance is a great revenge song. :)
Some stuff by Fall Out Boy like "Chicago Is So Two Years Ago" or "Tell That Mick He Just Made My List Of Things To Do Today" are really good too.

Trust company- stronger, downfall

"Stronger"

Can you save me
Will you fail me now
It's almost over cause you've faded out, again
Will you break me
When you're holding me down
I will escape you and I'll

And I am, stronger now
Since you crawled away
You're so far away
And I am, stronger now
Since you crawled away, since you crawled away

Never gonna save me
You just shut me out
And now it's over cause I'm stepping out, again
Never gonna break me
Just try and hold me down
I will escape you and I'll

I'll push you closer to the ground
Cause you're the one that's going down

You want to tear me down
You want to hold me down
You can't control me now
You cannot take me out
You cannot save me now
Because I'm stronger now
