Another really good question....you are on a roll !
Well, I believe we look at happiness from the wrong viewpoint ! The psychologists may not agree with me but I feel we should look at being contented rather than happy.
Happiness is a state that is influenced by external factors , for example .. .we can be happy when we drive a new car but within a few days the feeling wears off , usually after we pick up the first dent or scratch in a carpark !
Being contented on the other hand is accepting our position.....a choice we make ! Yes , it comes from a joy we have within , not an external influence & is more long lasting & satisfying.

Absolutely!! My grandmother, for example, always is able to maintain a positive outlook on life, in spite of all the difficulties that she has had to overcome (war, poverty, etc). I think people who view the glass as half full instead of half empty have the ability to decide to be happy.

depends on what your definition of happiness is. we all want something. My definition of being happy is not to let circumstances dictate who I am, I dictate who I am and that has made me sucessfull in alot of ways and fail in some ways, but there is nothing in life I regret and that makes me happy. Everything else like money and material things will fall into place. be carfull who you thank at the end of the day.

To be happy is not a decision one can take.....but can help.
Everybody would like to be happy, but not always is able to be.
i think a possitive attitude in life can help to reach something similar to happiness, but in spite of that, not every person reachs happiness.
I think is not something each of us can handle as we want.

hey beautiful
i think anyone could decide to be happy and they can make it come true... you see you shouldnt worry about the past and dont borrow sorrow from tommorrow.... live life everyday like it will be your last and have as much fun as you can and life is not worth worrrying....
nothing is worth your unhappiness and if it was ... it wouldnt make you unhappy!!

Yes, of course!!! There is nothing in this world which could make you sad forever.
I mean a poor might be much happier than a rich dude.

it depends on if they let someone or something that made them feel upset really get to them.. if they just ignore it.. then yea they decide to be happy.. but if they lost someone they love then i dont think they can help it
