I was thinking rod cells, but we definetely have way more than 26. What topic was it under?

Ummm. At a guess, chromosomes, but there are 23 pairs of them, not 26.
26 is an odd number (actually, it is even, but I can't think of anything that comes in sets of 26)

its either chromosomes... but not the correct number
