Hooters began operations on October 4, 1983 with a restaurant in Clearwater, Florida. Between company owned locations and franchises, there are now over 425 Hooters restaurants in 46 U.S. states and 19 other countries

Hooters targets all customers. The menu includes hamburgers and other sandwiches, steak, seafood, and chicken. It also specializes in Buffalo wings. Almost all Hooters hold alcoholic beverage licenses and sell beer and wine. They sell t-shirts and various mementos.

I think it is a nice restaurant. They have cold beer, decent priced food and a fun atmosphere with nice music. The girls are dressed better then most of the tweens in the mall these days, and they seem to be pretty happy go lucky girls to boot.

I hate all of the people that take offense to the women that work there. It is a restaurant, not a strip club or topless place. The women work in the uniform, not unlike several other places I have been. One place I have been has the girls in mini-skirts, black hose, and dress shoes. The skirt is short, and the tops are tight. It is not uncommon.

People choose to work and eat there. Unless you have been there, I do not think it is fair to form an opinion about it.

I go there, and know women that have worked there, and have seen several other women there eating, not just working.

I agree with the person two above me. It is a fun atmosphere! They wear more clothes than some girls and I have NEVER seen one go without a bra. In Texas those shirts are paper thin and you could see if they didn't wear one. Last time I checked, they are required to wear undergarments and tights. I personally love it there! The girls get to have fun and make GOOD money! I get to go there watch a sports event, let my boyfriend's tounge hang out, eat some good food and have a good time! There should be more places like this!

I don't know why the ladies or girlfriends/wives get up in arms about the joint, they actually have decent food. The scenery is nice too.
Here is a secret, the woman are hit on a lot, and do you really think they'd want to go home with me? Women need to chill out about it!

Their food is pretty good. I don't go there too often because there isn't a Hooters near my home. But I think Hooters is a good place to go to if you want to have fun with friends.

The food is ok. The waitresses are nice to look at. Don't give me that exploiting women BS, nobody forced them to work there. They want to make big bucks and they know what it's all about before they step foot in there.

People make way too big of a deal out of it. I've gone there before with a bunch of guys and I didn't see what the big deal was. I think there are way worse things out there.

I think it's got good wings. I''m a woman and I've been there with my significant other and co-workers. And I don't understand why women have so many issues with it. Sex sells. Period. Welcome to corporate america.
