I need to know what the average city population is in a worldwide estimate. Or, to make it easier, tell me if 540,000+ people is a large or small population. Why am I asking you instead of using my own brainpower to figure this out? Because I'm incredibly stupid when it comes to these things.

LOL GF of Zuko. ;)

Ummm, about 6.6 billion people in the world today, and there's about 3,500 cities in the world over 100,000 people. Definitely 540k people is way BIG for your average city. Even in my area - there's only a couple cities nearly that size, excluding San Francisco and San Jose soooo ...

My guess is that the average city population worldwide -- given that their are sooo many small (rural) and 3rd world towns, it's probably more like 50k and less.

Incredibly stupid? Too funny.

Ciao,

Brian
