I'm almost positive that's where he is going with this. He wants to justify his actions and if picking a war is the way so be it. I say we impeach his @$$ and then charge him for war crimes!

Poor Pisces, you fell for that dangerous story eh? Destabalize the Middle East? It would have to be stable first to destabilize it. That's a joke!

No, he needs it to keep the American public patriotic fervor going strong, then another attack of some sort will happen here in the US, and GWB will use that as a rallying point to blame it on Iran and go in there to occupy or take whatever he wants. Our Government has plans for us, and we aren't going to like them. Wake up America!

Besides, Iraq wasn't a failure at all folks, GWB got what he wanted, the PATRIOT ACT, to disolve our civil liberties. Americans are the ones who are paying for the attacks of 911. Not Al Queda, just us. A police state is the real goal here, not protection of the American Citizens.

Not neccessarily so. It is sad that he lost so much credibility. However Iran is a dangerous enemy that is on a course that would destabilize the middle east and also the world.Note too that this time Bush is not going at it alone and is unlikely to do so without UN approval .It would be sad if a bad decision in Iraq would cause us to make one about Iran that is a huge mistake, especially if they persist in exporting and supporting terrorism and developing a bomb.

Honestly speaking? I don't forsee a war with Iran, but, if it were me, I'd focus on a naval war. There is no terrain, aside from coastlines to worry over, which means no civilian casualties, and even with moderate losses on the American side, we would erase Iran's naval capabilities.

Now, Iraq could be problematic, but there is a contingency, here, even though land wars are quite consumptive and bear much in the way of collateral damage and casualties of non-combatants. The Marines in MEU 13 would be used to reinforce the Iraqi coastal areas, and the Air Force could provide air support and bombing runs from its bases in the north and east, as well as B-52's from Diego Garcia, Italy, and Cypruss.

The question is whether Iran wants a war with the US. They probably do so the liberals in this country will try to lose that one too.

He's already said his agenda, axis of evil, Iraq, Iran, and North Korea.

Now, he doesn't have the time, manpower, or support from South Korea to start anything with the North Koreans, and he doesn't have the political support at home to start a war with Iran...but, if you watch the news, the Navy is conducting a show of force off the coast of Iran with Aircraft carriers.

My guess is, that he's trying to provoke the Iranians to fire upon us, thus forcing us to return fire, and thereby starting a war with them that we will have to finish.

Iran would be even more of a failure. Even if the people here in the US or in Iran want a different government, it'll be an even worse outcome that we have seen in Iraq.
