Nato is the North Atlantic Treaty Organization first created after WWII to contain the spread of communism to western Europe. It consisted of the US, Canada and most Western European nations. The Warsaw Pact was exactly the opposite when created by The Soviet Union and the Western European countries to support communism and even try to spread it. Today NATO and the Warsaw Pact still exist but not for the same purposes, Infact around 2004 most of the countries withdrew from the Warsaw Pact and joined the European Union

A definition of what? NATO? Warsaw Pact? Or the relations between the two? They were mutual defense pacts, the Warsaw Pact a reaction against the integration of a re-militarized West Germany into NATO in 1955. Check Wikipedia.

NATO... North Atlantic Treaty Organization... It is an extremely bureaucratic organization that is ruled with an iron hand by a Belgian because NOBODY that is NOT Flemish, has EVER been in charge of NATO.

NATO is comprised of EU countries plus the U.S.A. and it's based in Brussels.

The Warsaw Pact is an extremely bureaucratic organization that was ruled by the U.S.S.R. and ruled with an iron hand from Moscow.

Do you see any similarities?
