you go to a drug store and get the cream or suppositories to insert in your vagina to clear it up. There are many brands, they are all essentially the same so get the cheapest one, use it for a week. Your symptoms and itching will clear up in a day or so, but you want to use it for a week to prevent it coming back. Avoid sex for the week.

Take it from the pro. Go to any Planned Parenthood clinic or a doctor if you have insurance, get it checked out, they will give u a prescription for DIFLUCAN ... its a one time pill u take and it goes away. The creams at drug stores are messy and nasty and a waste of time. And no, yogurt and acidophulus alone will not make it disapear. But continue to take both of those after your infection clears to keep it from comming back!

According the RN:
-wear cotton underwear
-do NOT use antibacterial soap when washing your groin area coz this disturbs the PH balance & normal flora in your vagina
-go to doc & get meds
-avoid foods high in sugar, this is major cause of yeast infection

I was given canestin hc, didn't work. Steroid cream, didn't work. Someone said live yogurt, didn't work. Tonight I am pasted in garlic puree and I can actually see improvement. Smells a bit though.

Eat plenty of yogurt or take acidophilus supplements to kill the fungus.
