Why would you say something like that Mordecai? We need more detail to your question. Atheists do not hate America. They Love America just as much as you Love America. Religion has nothing to do with ones love or dislike for their country. People who have been hurt or victimized may feel uncomfortable here. We need to learn how to get along with each other regardless of beliefs.

I don't think atheists hate America at all. I wouldn't call myself a conservative or a liberal, somewhere in between. Atheists are practicing their own freedom of religion under the 1st Amendment. Sounds very American to me!

I don't know why they'd think that. As an Atheist, I'm happy to live in a country with freedom of religion - it means I don't have to waste any energy going through the motions of following whatever the state religion might have been otherwise.

I am very conservative and a Christian and I don't think you can stereotype atheists as pro or anti-American. Denying the existence of God does not automatically mean that a person can not believe in the morals and laws of a nation founded on a Judeao-Christian ethic. Much of that ethic is common sense stuff, which can appeal to many people. I know people that name the name of God and believe that allegiance to anyone or anything other than God is sin.

The only thing that I have against atheists is that the ones that live around me are very annoying. That has nothing to do with atheism. They're just generally annoying people.

i am a liberal...and i am an atheist...and no, i think that most atheists love America just as much if not more than religious people as we know how to truly separate religion and government.

Let's be realistic here...I am a devout Catholic man but I understand (as well as any logical person understands) that there is no reason to think Atheists generally hate America.

I don't think atheists hate America. They just don't believe in God.

Hate to burst your bubble, but I don't really spend much time thinking about atheists. As a group, you're really not that important or germane to my life.

Except when atheists go on their anti-religion jihads. But even then, I don't think they hate America. Just being selfish in that case, nothing more.
