I am trying to find out more info about an ancesters wedding at the Royal Chapel of St Peter Ad Vincula, whch is at the Tower of Londonm which occured on 2nd Aug 1913.
In 1913, could anyone of the parish get married here or did you have to have a particular connection to it? If i wanted to find out this info, and more, who would i need to contact there?

The chapel became the garrison church in 1877 and was made a Chapel Royal (outside episcopal jurisdiction) in 1966. Today it serves as the parish church for the Tower community. Under normal circumstances only visitors on a Yeoman Warder tour or those attending a religious service will be allowed inside the chapel.

So in answer to your question your ancestor must have been, as a minimum, someone who worked within the Tower of London complex, but more probably a member of the garrison.

The clergy of this Chapel are formally part of Her Majesty's Ecclesiastical Household. The three Priests-in-Ordinary and the Deputy Priests-in-Ordinary (the latter including the Chaplains at the Tower of London and Hampton Court) answer to the Sub-Dean (an office known since 1483) who is himself answerable to the Dean of the Chapels Royal.

St. Peter ad Vincula and the Chapel Royal at Hampton Court each have a resident Chaplain.

I can't find a web site or e-mail address specifically for the Chaplain, however you could either write to the Tower, attention of the Chaplain to the Chapel, or you could telephone the Chaplain on 0870 751 5177 (Monday to Friday, 9.00-17.00

How's that!
