Because i'm a little confused about that episode.

It is hard to tell, but I think he did. I think the blood trail was the result of the 'bad one' Molly was talking about stealing Sylar's body for some reason.

It appears that Sylar survived, because there was a trail of blood leading off to a manhole cover. He was not where Hiro and the others last saw him... Apparently everyone was preoccupied watching Peter & Nathan, so nobody saw his escape.

Well they might Bring him Back I mean the guy was a great villian plus there was this black ooze coming out of the man hole cover so that may be the new villian

supposedly he died, they showed his death. However, they hinted that he might not have died at all. The camera pans to the spot where he should have been and there was only blood and a partially lifted manhole cover.
