Boise State might be the best Division I-A school in the nation at developing the talent they have. They have a great program but in my opinion don't deserve to be in the conversation with the best teams in the nation. They did win some nice games last year against good teams, but that is not the same as playing that schedule for a whole year and then ending up with 0,1, or 2 losses. The should make an effort to switch conferences, or go independent and play a schedule more like Notre Dame does. Imagine if they had to play Texas/A&M/Nebraska/ and then play Oklahoma the next week. It's highly unlikely that they would be able to maintain that level of high play week in and week out against bigger/stronger/faster athletes.

Don't get me wrong, what they did was amazing, and probably the greatest ending to an upset win I've ever seen. They showed tremendous heart and guts. But I truly believe if they played in a major conference they'd never make a BCS game.

They're good but they didn't play any ranked teams last year except the last game and they only won by 1. I know that Oklahoma was ranked pretty high but Oklahoma struggled against a couple okay teams and lost to two teams that they probably should have beat. I do not believe Boise State could win against the more powerful teams.

Despite being a Michigan fan, I have throughly enjoyed watching Boise State grow into what it is. If Boise State is on TV, I watch, because they are fun to watch. After beating Oklahoma, Boise State doesn't have to prove they belong anymore, they proved they are capable of hanging with the BCS conferences. And yes, that was the single greatest ending to a football game I have ever seen.

It is making alot of us to start taking note and not take them lightly. They are starting to establish themselves as a national powerhouse and paving the way for other teams in smaller conferences. As far as playing bigger schools nobody is keeping them from doing that.

Good small division 1 school. Could they legitimately compete with the Ohio State, Florida, Michigan, etc. for a national title? No, never.

i think they OWN my alma mater, Fresno State. they're everything we almost were and wanted to be in 2001.

they couldn't have legitimately won a National Championship last year (in a playoff system), but they were as exciting a team to watch as anyone in the nation.

over the years, we (Fresno St) has built a rivalry with them (except we never win), but i was rooting hard for them last year. i hope they do it again!

I was impressed. I think they are going to get better now they are winning all the time and they are up there in the rankings. If you live in the west why not?

They proved themselves last year, but with Jake and Ian leaving for the draft, their season will be respectable, but not nearly as proven and entertaining as the last, epecially their heroic finish.
