Well if it's a rule then I'm the exception. I am extremely good at logical thinking. I'm a programmer, graphics designer, computer tech, and network admin. All logic based stuff, computers. But I have a very good memory. I remember nearly every detail for years to come. It really helps to have a good memory when programming. Especially when you are using multiple languages and platforms.

My friends who are very good logical thinkers tend remember things very well, also.

So based on my experience, I'd say logic and memory appear to go hand and hand more often than not.

There are some logical thinkers who aren't good at memory because they don't have to be. After all, If you use logic, you probably won't need to really memorize a whole lot. As a result, they may have less practice with straight on memorization and is therefore less good at it.
This is not necessarily true of all logical thinkers though. And I think you will find that many of the most extraordinary mathematicians, programmers...etc are actually quite good at memory.

Nah. I'm good at logical thinking, and my memory's pretty good. Generally, anything that says "people always" is probably an untrue generalization.

Not necessarily. I am pretty good at logical thinking and my memory is quite good at 59. Memory is of course selective and my memory for names is not good, but memory for facts and figures, concepts and faces is good.

I can only speak from personal relationships. My fiance is incredibly logical, but he is SO forgetful. Things I tell him, things we do, etc, he forgets a lot.

From my experience, yes, it is pretty true.
