is it said that it is usually the addiction from heroin and crack cocaine that drives most woman into prostitution to feed their drug habits, but wouldnt cannabis addiction do the same? Also, how likely are heavy cannabis users to commit theft crimes?

Cannibis is not physically addictive, as crack and heroin are. Therefore the driving need to obtain money to buy more is absent. As for theft crimes, the same thing applies. Cannibis has a mellowing, calming effect and there is no drive to get more and more and more. For this reason, marijuana users are in fact the LEAST likely to commit crimes of all sorts than any other single drug user, alchohol included.

I myself started binge drinking when I was 14, smoking canabis when I was 15, and started on other class A's when I was 21. I'm now 27 - drink maybe once a week, and havn't touched drugs since I was 24. Other friends of mine who have continued drug use are having serious problems in that they mentally f**ked. However, you're more likely to get ill from stress than from occasionally indulging in alcohol or drugs. I had to take 6 months off work last year due to a medical problem arising from a stressful job! My advise to you is that you're still young, you've learned from your experience, and in the long run you're likely to benefit from it by looking after your health in the future. There's no point in regretting the past, you have to work with what you've got, and if you can swim 40m underwater you're not doing too badly now are you? Well done!

Farien3 said it well. And I would like to add that weed is less harmful to the body then alcohol and tobacco. Ask a Dr.'s opinion if you want the straight facts. If you want to be lied to, then ask a politician.

I have been smoking for years and never once thought, hey I need cannabis so let me sell myself. Its all mental, the want to smoke some bud. Not that I NEED to smoke.

Pot is not a physical addiction. It's psychologically addictive. There is a big difference.

pot dosn't turn you into a crack crazed hooker. it mellows you out and makes you at peace, hard drugs really mess up your mind and you will do anything to get them, stealing is the weakest thing they'll do, I have known people who would do anything to get crack or heroin, pot smokers tend to mooch off their friends. and maybe steal.
