I just need a little help clearing things up.
Mahou Sensei Negima, has 26 episodes in the original series.
There is an "alternate" version to the story called Negima!?
Then theres all the manga. I'm just wondering, since I only watched the anime - Does it end at the last episode where he says to Asuna "Will I be a good teacher" while they're on top of the pact destroyer. Or does he finally find out what she was going to tell him before it struck midnight and she died.
Does she ever confess?

Nobody can tell you the ending of the original Negima manga, because it hasn't yet ended. There are 19 volumes and counting; the 14th volume will be released in English this month.
The manga can't end in the same place as the anime, because it doesn't even go in the same direction. The last few episodes of the anime were way off the manga storyline, which upset a lot of fans. (That whole bit with the demon king and Asuna's death was not in the manga at all.)
"Negima?!" is a second anime series -- with new character designs, a different retelling of the story -- that started airing in Japan late last year. According to what I've read, due to disappointing ratings, the alternate series ended at 26 episodes and will not have a second season. Also, there is a second manga series that goes with the second TV series, called "Negima!? neo". The second manga is by Takuya Fujima, while the original was by Ken Akamatsu.
