What we are today is decided by what we were in the past and what choices we made along the journey called life. And while many of us would like to think that we were pretty rational all along, the reality is quite different. Most of our major turning points in life came about because of our strong likes and dislikes, in other words, emotions. Logical thinking and emotional reacting, these are the two wheels of our journey through life.

I try to minimise the impact of negative emotions in my life through conscious effort at logical thinking and through my spiritual approach to life. But it took me many decades on this earth and many emotional roller coasters to achieve this state and even now I fail often but get up and keep going.

Emotion drives a lot of my life, unfortunately.

I joke I am the female in the relationship to my wife. I am often cranky and I let little things bug me.

I often wish I could care less about things, but I care a lot so everything bugs me.

I say I am emotionally defective. I develop emotional attachments instantly, which is hard on me. I don't find it very easy to KEEP emotional attachments over time. So, working on that....

My position in my profession..being emotionally intelligent. The way i handle people with whom i work with. And they are not ordinary people of same cultural backgrounds. working in a foreign land, with professionals of different nationalities, and consider with difficulty the language barrier, plus the feeling of being away from your loved ones..what could be the best thing that could be had except Emotional Intelligence. I could handle difficult situtions, difficult people, difficult clients, difficult managers, difficult financial situations..and what else? Now, i am here today, as well as the likes of me, and i know, you are also in the same position as the rest now-comfortable, happy, with peace of mind!!
