Your child in one glass box, your husband in another. You have a control panel in front of you with one button. There is a countdown clock for one minute. If you press the button your husband dies from poisonus gas piped in and your child lives. If you do nothing, after the minute your child dies from poison gas. What do you do?

I'm choosing my kid. This is a new play on an old scenario. Yes feasibly we could have more children but we can't have that child and my husband has had an opportunity to live whereas my child is still growing up. Besides if I let my child die there is a distinct possibility I'd end up divorced anyone. Losing a child appears to be hard on most marriages.

What a terrible question. I would hate to have to make that decision. Even though someday my kids are going to grow up and start families of their own, perhaps move away, etc. and I will still have my husband to love me and spend time with me,etc. I would have to push that button. I would hate it but that maternal instinct to protect those little children would be to strong. Besides, if I let my kids die and saved my husband he would just ring my neck when he got out for not saving our kids. Man, what a question though. Let's just hope that decision never has to be made.

There is only one right answer to this question. Save the child, as they are innocent. They have yet to live life and the husband has had ample time to live. Sorry guys, but its true.

My son is my life. My husband had a chance at life. My son will live and any mother should agree with this answer. Blood is thicker than water.

The husband is to go...sorry fellas but we don't know what the potential of the child is and they be the one who comes up with the cure for cancer...there is also that unconditional love not to mention they are not going to cheat on you.

My child would live, no contest. I adore my husband, however, I know he too would rather die than see harm come to our son.
