Emphasize to him how proud you are that he is a MAN of his word (emphasize the word MAN). Tell him how lucky you feel that you have a bf who RESPECTS himself and his girlfriend enough to wait (emphasize the word RESPECT). Praise him for showing restraint. Let him know how much it means to you that he is keeping his promise.
It takes MATURITY and restraint to WAIT. His friends lacked that maturity. That does not mean that he needs to follow suit. Your virginity is one of the finest gifts you can give your future spouse.
He is taking a lot of flack from his friends right now. He needs to know that he has YOUR respect and admiration. Be supportive of him, as this is real struggle for a teenage boy (as it as for teenage girls).
I COMMEND you for this wise decision to delay sex (hopefully until you are married). You are a bright young woman, and you will be BLESSED later in your life for making this choice.
Best of luck,
~M~

there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a virgin, if that is what you want. Your friend needs to be a whole lot less concerned about what someone else might think or say, and a whole lot more concerned with his own opinions. If someone tried to tease me because of a choice I had made, I'd probably look at them like they were out of their minds, and find someone else to hang with in one big hurry. Teasing someone like that is incredibly disrespectful, and people like that simply aren't worth giving the time of day to, let alone giving them the power over you to hurt your feelings. They have no right to that kind of power, but it is a choice we make, and it isn't always the right choice. No, your friend needs to get a grip and realize that his self image and opinions are his and his alone, and stop worrying about what someone else may or may not think. Besides, it seems to me, if he loves you, your opinion would matter more to him than some bozos that tried to torment him with their lousy set of values.

Why do people say HAVE SEX? Don't you people MAKE LOVE anymore? Or is there not LOVE involved? ANIMALS 'have sex'. I can't think of the last time I've heard someone say WE MADE LOVE. It's always WE HAD SEX. Makes it seem clinical instead of something great.
If this offends you, then you're too young to HAVE SEX anyway.

Speaking as a guy who waited till he was engaged (we got too caught up one night before the wedding) it takes some serious amounts of committment, integrity and BALLS to stand your ground in the man's world on this issue. I wasn't perfect until that day, I had slipped here and there, but not gone all the way. It took me making the decision for myself that this wasn't something that was important to me. This was something that I could give to no one else in the world ever again and i knew that I would remember it for the rest of my life. When it took on that amount of importance, it helped in times when the pressure was pretty intense. Since I chose to base my life of principles like integrity and being a man of my word this was one area (probably one of the hardest areas) where accountability was most needed. I not only needed my own resolve to stay true to my word, I needed friends around me that would support me in that. Not everyone did, most people didn't even understand why I wanted too, but the few who did really made the difference. Even calling me on a couple dates with girls that they knew "had a reputation". If he really is a man of his word and man worth sticking with, then he will not only respect your wishes, but he will resolve to make it important to him as well, despite what his friends are telling him. And don't ask him to lie about it, that defeats the purpose. A man's test of his character is how strong he is under pressure. If his character is worth it to him, then he'll find a way to stand strong, if not for him, for you. There are a few of out here who still believe in Knightly honor, and while it may not be the norm these days, it is still what a real man is made of. Challenge him to keep his word and be true and you'll know what he's really made of. By the way, the decision is true for women too. My wife didn't wait, in fact our son is a result of her not waiting. But I wouldn't trade him for anything, even though I'm not his real dad, I couldn't be more happier with how life turned out, despite the struggles. Everyday, everyone has the ability to build their character or destroy, we just have to remind ourselves everyday what's worth fighting for.

Continue to reassure him that there is absolutely nothing wrong or unmanly with staying a virgin. On the contrary, it takes a STRONG man to stick to his values despite immature peer pressure.

you could always just have him say that he has had sex with u even if you havt it would shut his friends up, it could create a problem if you parents heard about it or if rumors were started but since he is your bf i dont think it would b that big of a deal. the only other issue i could see with that is if you break up with him and date another guy and u tell this new guy that ur a virgin it will blow the lie you told. also your could try telling your bf that his friends should shut up and he should tell them to shut up because its better to get physical after you actually no and care for someone instead of just screwing someone to syau've screwed someone!
good luck
