Well, I had a convo with the property manager where I currently reside and she faxed me over a copy of the extra charges and fees and I have to say, it's way more than necessary... Other than the late fees, which we do owe, everything is ridiculous... There are so many court fees that it's crazy.. I never have in my life seen so many unnecessary charges... We are supposed to sit down and meet on Tuesday so we can talk and settle the differences before she files an eviction, but she claims that she wants to work it out... I don't believe her, but I'm going to file a court case against her in hopes that it prevents an eviction from being filed... Is it possible to file a court order to prevent eviction????

In any case where you and your landlord are at odds. First thing you do is go find your copy of the lease agreement and read what you agreed too. You said you were paying court cost? Typically the court decides who pays what cost not the landlord. Were you subpoenaed to appear in court? You said you were charged late fees? Did you agree on penalty fees in your lease agreement?
I recommend that you seek a free consultation from an attorney. Take a copy of your lease and your bill. If there are no free consults then consider paying for an hour of an attorneys time. Thats probably all it will take for them to advise you on this.

Are the extra charges and fees in the lease agreement? When did/does the leave agreement expire? The landlord can add new terms to a new lease once the old one expires. If you do not agree to the new terms then you must move. Also, just because you believe that the charges and fees are unnecessary does not mean that they are. They could be perfectly reasonable. I would say, talk to the landlord and be diplomatic and do not get angry, however, at the same time start looking for another place to live.

No, just pay what the landlord wants or move. If you owe late 'fee's, "sounds like you are behind more than one month. You have a nice property manager there.
