Yes. Bush was happy the Democrats took over Congress as they will increase spending even further and pass his amnesty / no back tax payments required Leave No Illegal Alien Behind Act. There was a much tougher Immigration Bill last year but Bush didn't want it as it didn't grant amnesty and focused on enforcement, not amnesty.

George Bush can no longer be elected and could give a rats *** about doing what he promised to do or serve his political base. Then again, he campaigned in 2000 against nation building and flip flopped on that pledge.

Whether it is democrats or republicans both want vote banks.The democrats depend on African american support and so Bush wants the mexican migrants so he is legalising nearly 12 million of them most of them in agriculture and construction.Asians are a independent educated group and so they vote as per the candidate and not in groups.He is therefore reducing their number.Loosers will be americans.
