Thanks to you all who have answered, but problem remains the same. Actually I get the 20 to 30 kb/s upload speed but somehow for last 10 days its like 4 kb/s and my connection refreshes the connection with server. My provider says there is some problem with you pc who sends some bad requests and your ip is listed in some balck list or so. Please help what to do?

I hate to answer a question with a question but that is what I will do. Is this an assymetric DSL or CATV connection? I suspect you have an assymetric DSL connection. The Telco called it 256 Kbps (meaning download speed), upload is slower and could be 128 or even 56 Kbps. Symetric DSL is available in most places but costs more. Check the fine print from your provider and I suspect you will see that the upload speed is lower than the down load. By the way, the logic behind this is that for most household uses, more is downloaded than uploaded. Also if you do an upload test you must NOT have anyone else on the network accessing the internet as it will show a speed lesser than it really is.

If you need more upload speed, see if the DSL provider has a larger capacity available for your location. If not, the solutions become costly - as Fractional T1 or Full T1 are the choice (at a high cost). Check also with the Cable TV people if that is an option.

The downloading speed is relies upon on 2 motives. a million) ur cache ( sparkling ur cache via open information superhighway suggestions) 2) relies upon on ISP. ISP will define the connections via giving specific downloading apeed and different is for importing speed. Your 3.5Mbps could be devided into that 2 areas(downloading+importing speed=3.5Mbps) yet some ISP's will supply it dynamically as though we r doing downloading. each and every of the cost vl b used to get carry of and if v r importing then each and every of the cost is for importing. i think of ur provider provider has replaced ur settings. ask him to alter ur downloading speed. savor the downloading. yet u cant upload that lots speed after the settings.

The upload speed is only about half of download rate. 256k applies to download speed. This is normal. ADSL it is equal both upload and download but some telephone companies are disbanding ADSL as broadband is prolific and faster.

You download speed is higher then your upload speed. The upload speed should be posted along with your download speed.

I don't know what upload speed you expect but your upload speed will always be lower than download.
