The calendar on your wall ends Dec 31, 2007. Do you suppose the world is going to end on that date, or will you just get a new calendar?

World as such, in totality, will never end. It keeps going.But however, it will have intermitant wipe offs or times of revamp which is called "Pralaya" in sanskrit language. Its a much deeper and difficult to understand in a matter of few lines. But to answer your question to the point, this world is going to end (or get completely re-vamped) in next 4, 21,000 odd years. Because... total of 4,27,000 years is the life of this leg of world - called 'KALI YUG'. out of which, we have completed 5200 odd years.
So lot of time left.... for this world to slip towards distruction - not because it has to , but because we are travelling towards the distruction, slowely..... and steadily..... you can see hundreds of signs already... but still lots left before we fall... for the same....
