Life doesn't suck. You do.

The only thing truer is, "Life sucks, a whole lot of bad things happen, one or two really great things happen, and then you die."

The great things are few and far between, but they do make life worth living.

Sometimes it can certainly seem that way. I know my life sucks pretty bad right now - but if I look at it honestly I know that plenty of good things have happened in my life and many more good things will happen once I get through this rough spot. (Okay - maybe it's a little more than a "rough spot" but bottom line is things will get better.) No matter how dark the ride - there is light at the end of the tunnel.

This kind of sounds like Charles Dickens "A Tale of two cities" It was the best of times, it was the worst of times etc. O.k. Life can really suck at times, but it can also shine bright with so much hope and happiness. You take your good with the bad and there are a lot of good things that do happen in this world, you just don't hear about it much because sadly in this culture good news does not sell, only bad news does. Cheer up, there are so many things to be happy and greatful for!!! Like your health, clarity of mind, being able to enjoy a movie, seeing a sunset...there are so many things people take for granted. Life is a gift...try to find something that will make you happy :)

True enough. But just as true: life rules! A whole lot of wonderful things happen & then you live forever in the afterlife.

The glass is half empty or half full however you choose to see it. You can interpret reality however you like. Might as well look for the beauty rather than the ugliness. Might as well choose to be happy & make the most of it.

But, I hear you. I'm having a rough time lately myself. Some terrible things have happened. I'm still reeling from it. But I survive & try to be happy.

How can something be "truer" than something else? Isn't a thing either true or not true? Varying degrees of truth? I don't think so.

So, if "life sucks, a whole lot of bad things happen, and then... you die" is true, then, no, there is nothing "truer" because true is true. True statement X can only be "as true as" True Statement Y. Period.

Thank you.

A=A. That's the truest thing. But something slightly more true than what you said is:

Life is what it is, certain people realize it is not possible to get every whim fulfilled through absolutely no effort on their part, become convince it must be life that sucks and not their attitude, and then often they die while taking others with them.

Well from my perspective and life? No. Others may argue because everyone's life is different. Mine at the moment sucks. Friendless and funless, but I still can think up some stupid philosophical ideas.

At least in "life sucks..... die" you get to live it however little bit of it with enough cognitive to learn that it sucks! There are people less fortunate that never even have the chance to learn.... like little children/babies.

yes.
dying. that's pretty much as definitive as you can get.
life doesn't suck. dying does.
I guess it depends on who you're asking though. The perspective of a person on life can only be measured by what they have or have not experienced.
For example, my grandfather survived two wars, seeing "bad things" all around him and he consistently tells me that life is precious. Albeit my mistake to dismiss the word precious for what it definitively means.

Life is beautiful also. Need to take time and enjoy life and the good things, like family and friends.
