So. You're ranked number one in your class.
Can you please stop freaking out.
It's not the end of the world yet.
You seem to be on the right track.
Maybe you should stop this whining
and actually go involve yourself in
some kind of competition. Maybe
you should take Latin next year. I know
those kids participate in a lot of competitions.
Go apply for some scholarships while
you're at it.

You're doing very well, keep it up and you will end up at Stanford. You're only a freshman, you're too young to apply for scholarships and stuff, you have a few years until you do all that. You don't need any competitions or anything either. Just keep your good grades, do some extracurriculars, and score well on the SAT/ACT in 11th grade.

You've got a really excellent academic record, and you should be proud of yourself. However, if you feel "useless", do something- join the math team or the drama club. Do a science fair or history day project. Keep an eye out for contests for high school students, especially in the papers, and participate in anything that interests you- it can't hurt. Also, consider trying an extracurricular activity like a sport.

Rather than suggest what you should do to forward yourself in this "right track" you have sought for yourself, I would suggest that you sit back a spell and gain some perspective on what the total picture is about. Think not so much about what is important for the next 3 or 6 months but what is important for the rest of your life, that will help you make the right decisions now. Other than that, and i think any advise other than what you already want will be useless, dont take yourself so seriously .

I'm graduating in 6 days I haven't taken the SATs or the ACTs my GPA is only a 3.2 and I only play golf and pretend to play in instrument in the band. Don't stress high school. I never did. I half a**ed my scholarship paper and I got the scholarship based on my talents not my "record" just go with the flow and do things that are fun and your life will fall into your lap.

You are crazy for thinking you are worthless, you are doing brilliantly. You are only a freshman and you shouldn't be worrying about college right now. You are doing great now, concentrate on extracurriculars and gettting your GPA as high as possible. I suggest you start thinking about SAT's and such towards the middle of your sophomore year. Relax and enjoy your high school years. It'll be gone before you know it...

You are VERY VERY YOUNG in your educational career. Show me those numbers in 4 years and I'll give you a different answer. Show me those numbers at the end of 4 years of college (8 years from now), and I'll give you a better answer; Show me those numbers 10 years from now (and you'll then know about what your average teacher knows RIGHT NOW).

dont sweat it, rather than being so driven try to have fun and relax. Dont give up on your aspirations but dont get too hung up on them. You are very young and should be having fun while learning. let life take you where it does.
Good luck.
