Im 15, a C cup.Mom worries about my health and modesty and makes me wear bras with much support, full coverage and 4 hooks in the back, like the one at the one at
http://www.anita.com/us/en/147,1,104,0,39236__products-detail.htm They are good, but confining and hot, and summer is coming. I tried to convince her to let me wear other kind of bras but she didn'tt change up her mind at all. We have a wonderful relationship, she's a kinda caring and loving mom and I don't disobey, though I don't like those bras. Yesterday she came to bedside and spent almost an hour explaining to me with love why she wants me to wear them. I didn't agree, but she's my mom and I know it's out of love. Is this something worth fighting over? Or should I just accept this without complaints to keep our relationship? And accept the fact I'll sweat a lot in the summer, oh? Dad asked , O hun, be patiemt and obey, don't fight, please, and, unfortunatelly to me, my Dr told mom those bras are good for me.

Hey sweetie. Perosnally I think you should wear what you want. If you didn't want to wear a bra at all, you should be allowed to. This is your body and you have the right to feel comfortable. I am also a C cup but I wear sexy, kind of revealing lingerie bras. Many days I just wear shirts with built in bras or whatever I feel like. You are 15 and it's about time you stood up for yourself and made some of your own decisions, especially when this isn't that big of a deal. It's just a bra. I would suggest going out and buying your own bras, then your mom doesn't have a choice. Good luck

I was in almost the same situation. My boobs grew fast and early. My mom flipped and bought me the most grandma-like, ugly things you could imagine. But, I eventually convinced her to let me wear what I wanted.
I suggested that we go to a store that would measure me and find me the right bra. There is a Victoria's Secret near my house, so we went there. They helped us settle on a bra that was in the middle of what we both wanted. It provided good support and covered me up, but at the same time, didn't look like something that my grandma would wear.
So, maybe you can convince your mom of the same thing, tell her you just want to make sure you are wearing the right size, since so many women don't. Not wearing the right size bra can actually hurt you, especially your back.

I think its totally reasonable to fight with your mom about this...i would kill my mom if she made me wear these...
First, I would ask your mom if you could get different bras if you pay for them. This might work depending on how nice she is.
If she is still refusing then go out and by your own. I doubt your mom would notice your different bra....just don't go with something bright or noticeable...
If she confronts you about this I would just say "Oh I bought it when I went to the mall with my friends last week." Worse comes to worse she will make you change but hey its worth a shot...
i hope i helped♥

Have you told her why?
If not, you should go to her and say, "Mom, I know you only want whats best for me. I know you don't want me to give off the wrong image by earing bras that don't do anything, but summer is coming and I don't want to be all sweaty. They are really uncomfortble for me, and I was wondering if we could find a different one." or something like that....
or....
If you have some of your own money, go to wal mart on your own and pick up a few bras that you like. Stick them in an extra drawer or something and try to keep it hidden.
good luck!

You'll get to buy grown up lingerie when you are older. For now, just wear that ugly bra. You will roll with laughter when you are older and a mother yourself over this very moment. In fact, write all these awkward moments down and have a good hearty laugh later on.

Hun, I know where you come from, I agree thos bras are not exactly what a 15 yo would like to wear, but I also know where your mom come from. She just want your best. From what you said it's obvious she loves you dearly. She's just a little over protective, but it's wonderful you have a so caring mom that worries so much about you.
OK, you may say thise bras are uncomfortable, summer is coming, but please, I agree with your dad, be patient, do'nt spoil this wonderful relationship you have w/ your mom. I agree those bras may make you mad sometimes, but it's not something worth fighting over. Do it for you and your mom, sometimes we have to do things we don't want to. You'll get used to them. When you're 18 yiu won't have to wear them anymore, if you do'nt want to.
So, my opinion is listen to your mom, be patient and accept this, because it's out of love.

I believe if you are a C cup you should wear a bra, but I also think she should let you choose with her, I hate wearing uncomfortable bras. May be just ask her to let you try on other bras and she can see they will be good support and can be comfortable, ask her to please compromise, at least go and look, may be she will agree to that.

Have you asked her to let you wear a cotton sports bra. They are very comfortable yet very supportive. Its all my daughter wears. My doctor told us that sports bras were the best kind to wear for support and good breast health.

You should listen to your mother but go out and buy some bras that you feel comfortable in after school.
