In one of the books all the Hogwarts students are forced to sleep in the dining hall because of some kind of disturbance but I can't remeber which book it takes place in. It's not that important its just bugging me. Thanks.

It was Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. They slept together in the hall becasue Sirius Black was loose in the school. Hope that helps!!

It's Prisoner of Azkaban, at the beginning of Chapter 9 "A Grim Defeat", after Sirius Black attacks the Fat Lady's portrait to try to enter the Gryffindor common room during the Halloween feast.

Book 3 POA Sirius is loose on Hogwarts grounds...they think he murdered James and Lily at this point. They don't know the rat did it.

in the third book when they discovered that Black managed to get into the school so they made the students sleep at the dinning hall
