i had a missed miscarriage 2 years ago, also due to a blighted ovum. im now 29 weeks pregnant with a perfect baby. so theres no reason why youd experience it again. my ob at the time told me it was the specific egg or sperm - not anything to do with our genes.
minor cramps in pregnancy are ok, i still get them. everything is stretching and moving so obviously your going to feel discomfort. you did the right thing and theyve said all is well so try not to worry.

sorry i misread that.
ask for a vaginal ultrasound, they are more accurate to pick up early heartbeats - a sonic aid wont work. i got told i was miscarrying this baby when i was 5 weeks due to spotting and here i am 6 months later with a healthy baby. go see your ob asap, er staff arent trained to carry out all pregnancy procedures, a midwife or ob will be more accurate.

Unless they are off on your dates, there should be a detectable heartbeat at this time. It could be possible if there wasn't much fetal development, it could be another blighted ovum.
Have they done beta HCG's to check your HCG levels? Those and a sonogram would be the most accurate at this point.
If you haven't talked to your own Dr. after visiting the ER you should check with them. They would give you more information as to what is happening, and the chances of it happening in the future.
Best wishes!

Is it possible that you are earlier than you thought. I went to the doctor because I thought i was around 6 weeks pregnant.. I was only 3 weeks along. If you are earlier than you thought the baby being small and the lack of a heartbeat could be normal. I know how it feels to have a miscarriage and I am sorry you had to experience that. I have had two and am currently 9 weeks pregnant and scared to death. Good luck for the future hone... ill be praying for you.

I had 2 blighted ova. It's a terrible outdated term. And an awful feeling. Go to your obgyn instead of the ER. They will tell you for sure if you are going to miscarry. Get the blood test that will tell you if it's the blood type of the baby that your body is rejecting. I forget what this is called.

I only had a m/c final week at 12 weeks through a blighted ovum. i became honestly coronary heart broken. i'm 21, married and this became my first being pregnant.in the process my being pregnant I only had a intestine feeling some thing wasn't precise and that i became precise. I hated it whilst human beings instructed me that i'm youthful and that i'll nevertheless have teenagers, like that became meant to make it harm much less or some thing. All i will assert approximately it truly is that it sucks and it hurts. only bear in mind, there became no longer something you will have achieved to stay away from it. A blighted ovum is only a fluke and you're able to be able to on no account have yet another m/c on your existence returned. only undesirable timing. I had a organic m/c and me and my hubby desperate we aren't going to attend and have been are going to ttc returned precise away as long through fact the checklist says each and every thing is out and that i'm ok ( Have an appt. in 2 hours desire it is going nicely). i'm sorry to your loss and that i understand what you're dealing with. in case you're able to be able to desire to cry, then cry, be unhappy enable it out and only take it sometime at a time. solid success sooner or later!

mild cramping is normal in early pregnancy, but as far as the heartbeat goes...you may not be as far along as you think. if they test your hcg levels daily and see if they raise or lower they will know right away. if they raise you are still pregnant, if they lower you are for sure miscarrying. good luck and god bless
