you dont need software to transfer memory to a system using widows xp--just plug it in, if its compatible with your motherboard. There are different kinds of ram--high density-low density-dual channel-single channel -184 pins-240 pins. If it looks like it fits your motherboard, plug it in and see if it works-if your pc recognizes it, then it should work in your new pc. The video card will work if its the same as your old system(for example if they are both AGP-PCI-or PCI express. Generally if it plugs into your system it will work--they usually wont fit if they arent compatable. If you do need software drivers you can get them free from the manufacturers website.

Memory will only if the motherboard supports the exact memory that you have. Video card, same scenario. If it is a AGP and you don't have a AGP slot it will not work.

i suggest looking up the specs for both motherboards online and see if they are compatible.

The harddrive SHOULD transfer over (depending on if it is IDE, SCSI or SATA), but you would need to reload it as it will crash because of the hardware change unless you are using Linux.

2 issues to do: a million. substitute the video driver to accepted video card driver card in the previous you eliminate the force. you may boot up customary in case you do this accepted. 2. purely confirm you have the main modern-day drivers to your new board/hardware burned onto a CD in the previous you eliminate. confirm which you extract the ZIP and/or EXE documents into folders and keep all of them onto CD. you do no longer prefer to could desire to extract or run this technique to get the hot hardware up while it first boots. I do this on the force i'm transferring so as that they are community to it. So no different hardware has to artwork for me to get the person-friendly MB and IDE drivers going. That way while the "New Hardware chanced on Wizard" pops up, I purely ingredient it to a community folder for the drivers. i do no longer have confidence XP to locate the ideal driver on that's very own. The CD is a backup in case of different issues, like having to wipe the force and initiate the reload from scratch.
