OK, first get out the mower and trim all around the rose bush, make sure to rake it well first, don't want anything tangling up around the blade. Once you have cleared the path, using the thumb and fore finger from each hand gingerly begin to peel the flower open, be extremely careful to not spread it to wide as it may never close up again. It also may be necessary to pollinate the flower, though you will need to check with her first as unwanted pollination can really hurt the pocket book.

Use the post hole digger. You may also need to do a little mowing and edging, depending on the state of the ground. Seed should be spread sparingly, in proportion to the amount of fertilization desired. And water as needed.
It's all about the basics.

make sure you feed and water your plant. You don't want it to shrink up and fall off or dry rot. Don't forget to use a bag over your root,. lol
