yes.. I do. I love hand written letters, and cards.. delivered by the postal system... it's a lost art as far as I am concerned...
I set aside time each week to hand write my best friend who moved far away last year... I think the personal touch a handwritten letter adds, can be far more important, than the words alone...
It saddens me that so many of the people in today's society have let their writing skills slip, as the continue to use, and rely on computers for spell check, and e-mail delivery...
And looking at the newly arrived envelope, checking out the stamp, looking at the postal mark on the envelope, and trying to figure out where it came from, or when through in it's process of coming to me... is a big part of what makes getting a handwritten letter so great!

It's been so long since I've gotten a hand written letter in the mail!! When I do get one though, yes, I get a little excited. Do I look at the stamp?? Hmmm, I guess I've never really paid much attention.

I LOVE to get "snail mail." It's WAY better than the emails or instant messaging. I someitmes think there's too much technology these days. Nobody takes the time usually to just sit down and write a letter. Much less send one in the mail... But when I get something from my best friend or one of my other correspondents, then I'm very happy!! And I sometimes look at the stamp :)

I got a thank you yesterday and that was pretty exciting, I did not look at the stamp. Even more exciting, today I got a letter from the IRS telling me they charged me too much penalty in 2001 and they are refunding $1,075.33.

*sigh* probably gonna show my age here, but I remember as a kid we would wait in antisipation by the letterbox...waiting for a letter from a friend/family member. Emails just dont have the excitement factor.

I used to collect stamps as a kid, and I would rummage thru all my mums letters trying to find stamps I didnt have!

I hardly ever get mail from friends. I do always look at stamps, though. Don't ask me why!
