No, get this:
They are literally financing this war on CREDIT! No joke.
In 50 years when we're about ready to collect Social Security the government is going to be horribly bankrupt and our economy is going to fall into disaster.
This isn't my opinion either. Do a search on the subject and see what you find.

They have been taking money away from social programs, those you list including first responders and vets. We've also got trillions in debt; some of which are to countries like China ($300 billion, I last heard).
If our debts were to come calling, the US economy would crash and burn.
The Kiplinger Letter out this week has a great article on how the US dollar is getting weaker by the day. The wealthy will do everything they can to keep inflation from happening, because the people who live off investment money will see those investments go down, while working Americans will continue life as usual.
Hence, stop dumping money into the hands of the private contractors in Iraq (they make at least 10 times as much as the troops who are guarding them), and start withdrawing troops. Fund the programs they were promised like education and veterans benefits, and that would really be a way to support the troops.

That money comes from the same source that pays for Hurricane Katrina damage, the tornado damage in the Midwest, and the clean up of the WTC site after 911. It is our tax dollars.
If the terrorists were over here blowing themselves and others up, where do you think the money would come from to clean up that mess??? Yeap, the said same taxpayers who support this country by paying their taxes and such.

It's NOT Bush's war. He hasn't shot at or been shot at lately (unless he went hunting with Chaney (I'd still rather hunt with Cheney than ride in a car with Kennedy)). You'll remember that Congress authorized military force in Afghanistan and Iraq. Only the US Congress has the authority to declare war. You'll recall Vietnam was always classified a "Conflict". The difference now, and the reason the Democrats want to call it Bush's War, is that he, unlike the Democrats in congress are still committed to establishing a free democratic Iraq and giving our troops the resources they need to complete the mission. SURRENDER IS NOT AN OPTION!

How will we be paying if we don't finish the job?
Since security and defense are actually the responsibility of the federal government and some of those social programs should be the responsibility of the states you could say that they have been stealing from defense to pay for those programs.

every cent our government spends is tax money or borrowed money that must be paid back with tax money. as far a GWB's requests for "emergency funds" for the war that's tax money as well. Congress doesn't have a money well nor do they just reach down their pants and yank it out of their butts. They don't cut programs to get it they just keep thrusting us deeper into debt.

We are paying for it, by remaining relatively safe in a very unstable world. Can anyone tell me how many times we have been attacked again since 9/11? Oh, that's right.....NONE!

To answer your question, some of it is your tax dollars, plus there are enormous amounts of oil that "gets pumped but then suddenly goes missing" in Iraq (millions of barrels daily)
