What happened as result of using pesticides/ insecticides?
What did Racheal Carson do bcause of the problems that occurred?
Even though the oceans and rivers were cleaned and the chemicals were not being dumped into then, people were still experencing problems, why?

Wrong way to handle the problem . Always look at it in parts per million. Many things without qualification would kill us. U must reach a under standing of ppm. H2S is a deadly gas ,but if the concentration is as low as 50% of a critical value u could use it safely.

The chemicals got into the food chain. Things like DDT take a loooooong time to break down. If it gets into the food chain it can affect animals and people for a while.
