hi everyone i currently have a male to male lead into my tft then my xbox 360 and pc plugged in to save me swapping leads round every time the only prob is that when they are both plugged in i get interferance where the screen goes a shade darker and a bit blury this happens on both the xbox and pc when both are plugged into tft using the male to male which gives me two connections into one monitor any ideas guys?

You can only plug a monitor onto one source at a time.

If you want to use multiple sources then get a quality video switch so that you do not have to shift cables.

Or check if your monitor has multiple inputs. Most monitors with a DVI connector support DVI-A which allows you to connect a VGA cable via an adapter. If there are four contacts around the slot contact at one end of the socket then it will support analog.

The video lines in the cable are terminated with a 75 ohm impedance. So when you split the cable an plug it into two sources you are changing the impedance, so there is excessive load on the cable which will reduce the signal (make it dimmer) and possibly effect the slew rate (blurry) of the signal, possibly cause ringing or reflections (ghost images)
