Not sure about the work relationship but it's definitely true.
Women give off pheromones that attract men but also synchronize each others periods. It happens a lot with mother/daughter pairs, roommates, but idk about coworkers...

Oh, well I believe it is definitely true. It can even happen to girls you are around a lot.
I used to live with my mom and sister. My sister would start, then I would start, and then my mom. My best friend used to visit me every single day and she would even stay for weeks at a time during the summer. She lived just down the block. Her's got to where it started the day my mom's did, a day after mine. Then, my best friend's mom's changed to where her's would start the day after my best friend's and my best friend's sister's would start the day after their mom's.
It was like a domino affect and we knew that when my sister started, we were all soon to follow.

My old coworker and I had almost the same cycle. She would start and 2 days later, I would start. Do you spend alot of time together?

I think its true because all the girl in my classes and such all seem to have it on the same week.
Actually the week before our periods is called "B*tch Week" by the guys (lol) because we all have PMS.
They actually have a calendar in the boys locker room to keep track of it LOL.
Its kinda creepy if you think about it.

yeah it has something to do with the pheromones and chemicals you let off of your body and then picked up by whoever you are living with. Kind of sick if you think about it.
They did an experiment where they rubbed cotton pads under the underarms of women who were menstruating and then rubbed the pads on other women who weren't and their cycles started to sync up.

it's a fact, and has been proven in study after study, that any group of women thrown together on a regular basis will become synchronous in their cycles after about three months.
