i agree with llllarry1....this question should be in the science section because a cicada is not something to eatt.it is a fly type of animal..

If this is the cicada you are talking about?-

I have heard they taste like shrimp ! I heard a radio station is having a cicada eating party , I think I will pass on that one !

In Bangkok they eat crickets, but only the females. In Japan they make a great deep fried, chocolate covered, grasshopper candy so guess a cacada would be OK.
