IN Salem, Mass., in the year 1692, Rebecca Nurse, Susannah Martin, Elizabeth Howe, Sarah Good, Sarah Wildes, George Jacobs, Sr., Martha Carrier, George Burroughs, John Proctor, and John Willard were found guilty of practicing witchcraft and were executed by hanging on Gallows Hill.
