i put a songs in my itune but in about a week an ! mark appears in my music, telling me that i have to locate my songs. most of the 1000 songs i have have that ! mark, i dont want to relocate all my songs again, how can i fix this so that it wont happen again?

that happens when you move a song from one place to another, i just keep all my music in one folder, then add the whole folder to itunes, if i ever get new songs i just move them to that folder..and add the folder again (it wont double up your songs if you add the folder again)

It sounds like the music was either not put on the computer properly or the files are not completely compatible with iTunes...this happened to me once with a few CDs.

Unfortunately there is no easy fix for this problem. 1. You can guide iTunes to the location of each sone, one by one or 2. you'll have to upload the music again from CD and make sure the songs are put onto the computer using iTunes to import them. and once you do this, don't move the music files to another location on your computer.

It sounds like you took the songs from an mp3 disk. Have to put it back in.
