They did some research and found that it was called by huge methane bubbles coming out of the ocean floor. Even a small percentage of increased methane in the air is enough to stop a plane engine or sink a boat.

When was the last time someone "vanished" in the Bermuda Triangle? This is another one of those things that have been blown so out of proportion, it is unbelievable. There have been boats, planes, and people disappear there. However, there are plenty of other places in the world where that happens as well. They just don't get the same attention. Also, there are thousands of boats each day in the Bermuda Triangle that do not have problems at all. Think of all of the cruise ships alone that pass thru there. There is nothing spooky about the Bermuda Triangle. Just a goofy ghost story.

Oooh, isn't it mysterious? Planes and people have gone missing while over the "Triangle" to never return. I watched an entire show about the "Triangle" and the focus was two pilots out of Miami who had been running a buisness for over twenty years and flown over the area numerous times. One day they were in their plane and the weather was just fine. Suddenly, they said it was like solid white clouds surrounded them and their radar instruments ceased to work. They were flying blind and scared. Their skills at flying and keeping their head on straight saved them but they wound up landing hundreds of miles from Miami! I have always been fascinated by the Bermuda triangle and wondered if it was a weather/water combo to produce those clouds or some type of magnetic field we can't yet understand. But the show about the two pilots was amazing.

A lot of the mysterious happening in the bermuda have been debunked. Including some of the ships as well as missing planes. I do know that there are physically some effects of that area such as strong electrical magnetic fields which would cause instruments to go crazy thus making navigation a nightmare. Have you heard of the Dragon's triangle? Same thing, different location.

sometimes i wonder if it is very ordinary and has been built up into something more maybe there is no mystery just an ordinary stretch of water between three points . maybe if global warming is brought under control secret intelligence archives are opened and every intelligence agency comes clean with their own manmade bermudas then a world wide effort to find out about it is made the answer will be found i have some new ideas to add though ships might have run out of fuel like they are going to eventually .

The Discovery Channel blamed Methane Gas. Underwater Methane vents cause huge bubbles to sink boats. And when the gas goes in the air it causes the engines of low flying planes to stop and crash in the water. Mystery solved. Methane Gas.

I have been in the Triangle and there is a definitely strange, heavy vibe to it. I saw what looked like people walking on the water. It was probably just a trick of the light but then again, who knows?
