How come 3rd world cultures have not advanced like Europeans?

For instance India has a 16,000 yr old narrative history but it's citizens live in filth and unsafe conditions. What is the missing element since they mostly predate any johhny come lately european civilization. China had an organized society 5000 yrs ago, what is it? I think a few brilliant minds made technology, we all benefit from, everyone else is just a step above a monkey. I'm caucasian and not afraid to admit this fact. If it werent for the few smart minds we'd all be in caves!

Lack of resources. America skyrocketed as a world power because of the abundant resources, and europe has made good use of theirs. Countries in africa may not have ample clean water and fertile land to support what they already have, let alone support growth.

I have wondered that myself. I saw I think it was Jeff Corwin doing an animal special in India, and he said there was a hole in the floor of the train where people could relieve themselves, it just ended up on the tracks - yuk!! Even shows like Birthday? where they show children being born around the world, they had like two women in a bed and cats running in and out of the hospital in India. The land seems like it is fertile enough, and the people aren't stupid so I don't understand. It has got to be a cultural thing. You see alot of children being treated badly and no one cares. People always say - oh there's poor people in America, but nothing like that- you don't go to NYC and have very, very young children in ragged clothes surrounding you, and begging you for money.

Things move in cycles. The middle eastern Arabic cultures were making huge advances in science and mathmatics when Europe was in the midst of the dark ages. China created the civil service system as we recognize it today and created a civilization leaps and bounds ahead of all others at the time. Much of the technology, mathmatical ideas and principles of government that eventually vaulted Western countries to the top of the pile are based on Chinese and Arabic ideas. The countries you mentioned are properly refferred to as second world nations, and are positioning themselves today to be the superpowers of tommorow. One Hundred years from now it will be interesting to see who is the dominant country in the world.

Some attribute the advance of Europe as attributable to social Darwinism. Some say other countries are uncivilized because they have been exploited by European colonizers. There's probably a bit of truth in both stories.

just like in the animal world,there are some varieties of humans, that arent worth the skin they inhabit.

perhaps you saw the recent video on all the news stations,of the black man beating an 80 year old man,with a car door.
