1st, write down the names of the programs you use. Then go to the control panel/ Add Remove Programs. do a Sort by Name (upper right corner) & examine the list, lloking for names you don't recognize. Jot those down and find out what they do by searching on Google or Yahoo. Be cautious -- note the size of the program, if it's small or you don't understand what it does -- leave it alone!

You dont just delete them, to do it right, you need to use Add/Remove software under the control panel, go through the list of software and pick the ones you know of but dont use anymore.

Basically delete anything not by Microsoft, your computer manufacture, and part manufactors (like nVidia, Intel, ATI, Realtek, etc).

Run your pc through the test at http://www.pcpitstop.com/ . It will give you a list of unnecessary programs.
