Very seldom do I hear back from folks after I select their answer as best. I think that is rude. What do you think?

Truthfully, it would be nice if they did send you a thank you and you replied with gratitude. Some people do and some people dont. Im pretty sure everybody appreciates answers to there questions although they dont actually send a message stating so. I dont think people mean to be rude, after all, they are asking for help and advice. I would just be thankful inside and think positive and hope the person does too and or writes back. :)

You can't be serious. After taking my time to write you a well thought out, researched and detailed bit of my expert advice, for free, I'm supposed to thank you for choosing my best answer for best answer and giving me a little recognition and 10 useless "points"? Ha, that's hilarious! Every word I write here is a waste of my time. I'm just doing this for practice, not because I have any interest in helping people. If people want my help they will pay for it, because I worked hard to acquire this knowledge and get where I am today. I don't give it away for free.

I don't think it's rude. Some people don't have their email addresses available for privacy reasons. If they have it available, then try to send it and see what happens. There is always the chance that it will be deleted or read and they just really won't care.

Yes, I always leave a message, even if it was voted as best answer. The voters out there should be thanked too!

Yes, I always do !
It's part of YA etiquette ! Unless, of course, that person
does not allow email.
I don't see why people answer questions like this one
and then end up getting snarky.
I happen to think it is an excellent question.
Hugs to you,

I always do. It's fun, I feel like I(sometimes) get to know the person better. Maybe they didn't know that you would appreciate that. Now they do!!:)

To be honest, I have never thought about it. It's a good idea though and I will have to start doing that.
